Another Death

I feel helpless with my husband right now. He just found out that one of his good friends suddenly fell over in his drive way of some type of aneurysm. Doctors were able to keep him alive for a couple of days so family and friends could say goodbye but he is brain dead. The plug was pulled this last Tuesday and his funeral will be this next Wednesday. If there could be a good thing out of all of this is that my hubby's friend donated his organs and the doctors were able to harvest both kidneys and his liver. So in his death he was able to save three people, the ultimate gift.

His name was Vito. He was WAY HIGH STRUNG!!! Hahaha.... but had a heart of gold and love kids. He lived with his sick Mother who needed his help. To my knowledge he never married and never had any kids. Since Vito was a car salesman, he could sell ocean front property in Iowa and had balls of steal! He was so kind to our son Joe whom he bought a huge box of fireworks one fourth of July when he knew Harv wasn't making a lot of money. He also talked a guy who owned a jumpy house business to put up a giant blow up water slide for a couple of weekends  in a row for a "good" deal on a car. He was truly a nice guy. Vito will be missed.

I am hoping Harv can make it to his funeral but I know he is totally raw from just loosing his Dad last month. A simple band aide and hug won't fix Harv right now. I will just try to support him emotionally and mentally through this tough time for him. He admitted that he felt like a baby about all of this going on.... I told him there isn't a wrong way to mourn, as long as he was letting himself feel the loss and working through his feelings. Its hard to watch your husband cry, truly cry with these big alligator tears rolling down his face, makes you feel helpless.
