Tragically we found out last night via email that Harvey did not get this county job he went for. He didn't do anything wrong, he said the interview went very well and compared to the people in the waiting room he was really hopeful. 

It was as if a giant bucket of ice water was thrown into our faces.

This job would have been everything to us. Steady pay, good pay, vision, dental medical insurance and retirement. It was a good job to gain experience from and room for advancement. Now, it is totally gone. No prospects, no nothing.... Harvey has one year left until he is done with his bachelor's degree. So we wait.

We are really broken up about this. Every door has been shut. Harvey cried last night, he had tears in his eyes. It was a crushing blow to me because I knew this rejection is the putrid salt that was rubbed in already open wounds.
